The Podiatrist

Michael Cummings is a State Registered Chiropodist/Podiatrist with over 18 Years experience, both in the NHS and private sectors. He qualified from Cardiff School in 1989 with distinction and since then has worked in many areas of Norfolk (he also appears regularly on Radio Norfolk for footcare phone-in's). Michael specialises in biomechanics which addresses the functional problems encountered from walking and running. Treatments can be used, amongst other things to help arthritic problems of joints, walking instability and running injuries. He has clinics in Norwich and Dereham.

The practice

The foot is a highly complex organ made up of 26 bones that we rely on for balance and propulsion. Treatments offered include:

• Painless treatment of corns, calluses, verrucae and ingrown toe nails
• Skin care problems treated
• Provision of custom orthotics and insoles
  
• Lower limb sports injuries and biomechanics
  
• Digital video gait analysis using treadmill
  
• Foot manipulations for painful feet

Visiting the clinic

There is easy parking and ground floor access. The surgery is situated off the Wroxham Road. Going out of Norwich towards Wroxham turn left just before the Blue Boar Public House down Church Lane then first right into Aslake Close (sign posted) opposite the Adult Training Centre.
