The Podiatrist

Ms Deacon qualified from Sunderland University via Matthew Boulton School of Podiatry (Birmingham) in 2003. She has undertaken work with the elderly at nursing homes and residential facilities, worked with mental health clients, and children, along with general podiatric work for adults and sports people. Biomechanics is one of her main interests along with diabetes care. In 2005 she started up a Podiatry Clinic in the centre of Swindon to enable her to work alongside other health specialists and give Swindon a 'one stop shop for health and beauty'.

Visiting the practice

All clients are seen for 30 minutes with appointments booked each 40 minutes, to give time for the elderly or special circumstances. If the Podiatry work required takes less time than this, then the client is offered reflexology massage (IIR qualified 10 years) which is very much appreciated by many clients.

The clinic is opposite Holy Rood Catholic Church and there is a bus stop outside. You may park at New College; the OLD building at the TOP of town, where there is a public car park; cross the road, pass the curry houses, find La Dolce Vita (Italian Restaurant) continue on the road, past Maryla Shop, the green grocers and the dentists. Just a 5 minute slow walk away is Optimum.

Free 1 hour parking (be careful of restrictions) can be found in Lincoln Street. From the motorway (J16) or West Swindon take the road to Old Town, then turn LEFT to go into the new town area. Near the bottom of the hill, on the right, there is a MACHINE MART shop with The Jewel In The Crown (Indian Restaurant) turn right here, and free parking is usually available in this road for 1 hour. Once parked continue to walk in the L shaped street, where you will exit into Groundwell Road, opposite the clinic.

Home visits can be arranged for the whole of Swindon town and some surrounding areas including postcode areas - SN1, SN2, SN3, SN4, SN5, SN6, SN25 & SN26. Please call for more information or to arrange an appointment.

There is an additional £5.00 charge for home visits, although discounts are available for regular bookings of 5 people or more.
